2024 Annual Conference - 7th March, University of Warwick, Coventry
Thursday 7th March 2024 sees the third edition of the RSE Midlands conference. This year is hosted by the University of Warwick at the University of Warwick’s beautiful Scarman Conference Centre, and is sponsored by CRiSM (the Centre for Research in Statistical Methodology) and by the Society of Research Software Engineering.
This year’s conference is a chance to build community, meet new and old friends, and learn more about the incredible breadth of skills RSEs in the Midlands possess.

Location and travel
Location
The conference will be held in the Scarman Building, Scarman Road, University of Warwick, Coventry, CV4 7SH. The location is easy to find and we provide additional information on How to find Scarman building. You may also be interested in a virtual tour!
Travel

Train
If you are travelling by train, Coventry is on the West Coast Mainline and serviced by regular trains from London Euston, Birmingham (New Street and International) and Leicester. It is easy to get a taxi or bus from Coventry Train Station so you may have to book a taxi in advance if you prefer not to walk.
Please note that Canley and Tile Hill train stations do not have taxi ranks. These stations are served by trains from Birmingham, London, Milton Keynes, Coventry, Northampton and Rugby. You can get a bus to us from close to the stations.
Bus
If you are travelling by train, there are regular buses from the Coventry rail station, Coventry city centre as well as Leamington Spa. You can easily get taxis from these locations.
The 11 and 12 bus routes both serve Warwick Conferences locations (including Scarman) from Coventry. Both buses call at the Rail Station Bridge stop on Warwick Road; this stop is few minutes walk from Coventry station as shown on Google maps.
The U1 and U2 buses serve Warwick Conferences from Leamington Spa. Both services stop at Parish Church Stand B; a seven-minute walk from Leamington Spa station as shown on Google maps.
Car
If you are travelling by car, the postcode for Scarman building is CV4 7SH and it is located within the University of Warwick campus.
Scarman conference centre is located on central campus, which is signposted off Gibbet Hill Road. Both static and interactive central campus are available from the provided links.

Warwick Conferences provide general information for delegates at Scarman events.
Car parks are marked on the PDF campus map, any one coming by car is recommended to park in the Scarman car park (turn off towards the Scarman building and continue past reception to the car park behind the building).
